Official Working Visit to Press Metal International (PMI), Guangzhou, China

8 September 2026 (Tuesday) – YB Datuk Haji Mohd Asna bin Haji Amin, Chairman of the Negeri Sembilan State Committee on Industry, Technology, Innovation & Digital, led an official working visit to Press Metal International (PMI) in Guangzhou, China.

Joining the delegation were YBrs. Dr. Arwan bin Sabri, Director of UPEN Negeri Sembilan, and YBhg. Dato’ Haji Najmuddin Sharif bin Sarimon, Chief Executive Officer of Invest NS.

During the visit, the Negeri Sembilan delegation was given a comprehensive tour of PMI’s downstream subsidiaries, including PMI MT and PMPT China, which serve as key suppliers in IKEA’s global supply chain.

This strategic engagement provided valuable insights into PMI’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem, with a strong focus on high‑impact sectors such as automotive, energy, and consumer electronics.

The initiative underscores the Negeri Sembilan Government’s commitment to exploring new avenues of collaboration, strengthening the state’s industrial capabilities, and attracting high‑technology investments to drive sustainable economic growth.
